How to measure
for your curtains
Here are some very useful tips before you start measuring:
1. Measure to the nearest whole cm, or in inches if that is easier.
2. Measure each width and drop in several places to allow for any
irregularities in window frames, ceilings, floors etc. then use the
smallest of those measurements.
3. If possible get someone else to help by holding one end of the tape.
4. Where necessary always use something safe to stand on rather than
over stretch.
Curtains

1. Always use a metal or wooden tape for better accuracy.
2. Ideally your curtain track or pole should be fitted before you
measure, however if you decide to measure before fitting the pole then
you will be able to fix the track or pole to accommodate the actual drop
of the finished curtains.
3. Always measure the pole or track, not the window.
4. Do not apply an allowance for fabric gather as this is included in
our curtain calculations.
5. For eyelet curtains we will add a standard allowance for above the
pole.
